Petrichor is named for the smell of earth after a rain.
Once a year the storms come to Los Angeles. When the deluge finally arrives at the Estate, the earth heaves a sigh of relief: the birds sing, the winds blow, and the mighty Eucalyptus begin to turn their leaves. This phenomenon occurs before rain because of the increased humidity in the air, which softens the leaves and causes them to turn.
Eucalyptus leaves are a core ingredient in Flamingo Estate's Petrichor Candle. They combine their oil with Myrrh, Amber, and Vetiver to mimic the scent of the earth after rain. It is a scent that has fascinated people for as long as the rains have been falling.
How To Use
When burning your candle for the first time, allow it to burn for 2 to 3 hours, until the top layer of the wax has completely melted. This will prevent the wax from tunneling around the wick. When burning the candle after the first burn, do not let it burn for over 3 hours at a time. Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times to prevent the candle from emitting smoke or the wick falling into the wax.
